Wow! The past few months have been full of uncertainty and concern for many people. What does it mean when the world stops at the same time? I have so many random thoughts running through my head. Enjoy the dump — I am thankful for the ESSENTIAL WORKERS! There is a force of nature to deal with. I also realize that there is one race – the human race and the pandemic does not discriminate. Why in the midst of a pandemic do we find ourselves returning to the simple things in life. When was the last time you completed a jigsaw puzzle? When was the last time you complete a jigsaw puzzle with your teenager and your spouse? Unheard of in my house until the Covid 19 pandemic. I have watched my daughter experience a canceled senior prom, a canceled Girl Scout Gold Award celebration, and canceled high school graduation. She has handled all of the disappointment with grace and perspective. Instead of complaining and being sad, I see her on a daily basis take care of her mental health by doing yoga and meditating. She also has been focused on drinking more water because it’s good for her. I love her resilience and her attitude. And as I enter the workplace via Zoom, on a daily basis, I ask for the clarity and the gratitude that I see my daughter show. I remind myself that it could be so much worse. So as you have meandered down this brain dump, I think I was simply trying to say be thankful for all things. Everything works together for the good of those who love Him.
